Mary Bablitch, Founder
True to my midwestern roots, my approach to the design process is practical and straightforward: I ask a range of questions to sharpen my understanding of what you want, then together we create interior spaces that reflect who you are and how you want to live in your home.
My knowledge of colors is deep and focused, and I will make the complexities of space planning easy for you. So you know, my own taste tends towards refined simplicity.
I like to create inspired, restful spaces brought alive by color and a few well-chosen pieces, balancing modern and traditional. I’m good at spotting the timeless in current trends, and I have an eye for unusual finds. My goal is to bring quality, comfort and character to your space, and do so within your established budget.
My career in interior design began with designing my own home in Lexington, MA, where my efforts to balance the preservation of a historic three-story clapboard house with a fresh, modern, family feeling were met with pleas from friends and neighbors to make their homes look and feel like mine.
After a few years of immersing myself in professional education and freelance design work, I joined Phillips Design in Concord, MA. Ten years later I started my own interior design business.
